Patterned Tights Fashion Trend

Sheer, patterned, lacy, embellished leggings and tights are all the rave this season.  Many designers are creating leggings and tights for women, including panty hose, in a variety of textured and opague designs.  They can be worn underneath short dresses and skirts or as pants with a long top.

Top Model, Eva Marcille, was spotted earlier this year in these Brian Lichtenberg Black Angular Patchwork Silver Glitter Leggings and I instantly fell in love.:

Eva paired them with a black off-the-shoulder top and Gucci "Kills" Peeptoe Platform Booties. You can purchase them here

Rihanna was spotted leaving Japanese restaurant Nozomi in Knightsbridge wearing these Henry Holland Suspender Tights with some Dark Denim Flag Print Hotpants.  Both are from TopShop.

Melanie Fiona wore these patterned Wolford tights underneath a Alexander McQueen Asymmetric Hem Riding Coat while hosting the red carpet at the 2011 Soul Train Awards.

You can also find similar leggings and tights at the following retailers: Urban Outfitters, Asos, and American Apparel to name a few.

And for my Twitter addicts, how about these Social Network "Follow Me" thigh high stockings?:

They have "Follow Me" written on both legs.  You can find them on Etsy  and looks like there is only 1 pair left.

What do you think of this trend? Is it something that you would wear?
